The Constitution of the World Health Organization begins: Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity”.
Three quarters of a century later, evidence and experience have demonstrated the incredible power of the arts for both physical and mental health.
For that reason, to celebrate WHO’s 75th anniversary, we are proud to present the “Healing Arts" concert, to take place at the Victoria Hall in Geneva on 8 April 2023.
The concert, which will include performances of dance, music and the spoken word, will be an expression of the joy of being alive, and represents WHO's gratitude to the people of Geneva and Switzerland, who have been WHO's generous hosts for 75 years.
