Lalitpur, Bagmati Province – Around 150 clinicians and nurses across Nepal participated in a clinical seminar on dengue case management organized by the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD), with support from WHO Regional Office for South-East Asia and WHO, Country Office for Nepal. Facilitated by international dengue experts, the seminar held in a hybrid format equipped healthcare providers from major national hospitals (where dengue cases were reported in 2022) with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively manage the dengue cases and improve patient outcomes. Practical sessions, with case study discussions for the medical doctors and nurses, were also held. WHO will continue to support the EDCD to strengthen dengue prevention and control measures in Nepal.
