14 – 16 June | Kathmandu, Bagmati Province – National program managers on dengue from 9 countries in the WHO South-East Asia Region (SEAR), and international experts from WHO and academia, identified gaps and priority actions in accelerating prevention and control of dengue and other arboviral diseases in the region during the Meeting of the Programme Managers and Regional Technical Advisory Group on Dengue and Other Arboviruses in the South-East Asia Region organized by WHO Regional Office for South-East Asia and supported by WHO, Country Office for Nepal. Delegates discussed various aspects of dengue and other arboviral diseases, such as surveillance, risk management, strengthening diagnostic capacity, dengue case management, integrated vector management, and risk communication and community engagement. The experts also agreed on the key components and priority actions under the new Regional Strategic Plan for the prevention and control of arboviral diseases.
